I found writing the essay exceptionally difficult. The most challenging part was condensing the rough draft of about 5000 words down to 1400 words to remain within the limits I’ve given myself for philosophical essays.  I did my best to condense the essay enough to include the key concepts while keeping it readable.  Even though I do see quite a few flaws in the essay’s structure and the lack of detail, I think I managed to present the concept well enough considering how short the paper is. I will develop the concept of 'creative worker slave' in other short essays.

Another significant challenge to overcome was my complete inexperience in the field.  I have no philosophical instruction nor any training in writing proper essays.  Though I have done quite a bit of philosophical readings over the years, they were in long format and I couldn't use them as guides.  So, I did the only thing I could think of; I wrote the concepts out in blocks, trying a ‘who what where when why how’ approach and developed the essay. The reader will note that I didn't answer all of the 5ws and H, but I came close.

The last item to consider is the content itself.  Yes, I make very bold statements that are certainly not the norm, and I did nothing to explain the logic behind it.  I promise over the course of the essays the background will be explained, but for now I ask the reader to digest what I have written and ask him or herself if my thesis is plausible. I believe using one's own intellect and instinct is sufficient to determine if my thesis has merit.
