May I introduce you to The Shadow Demon.  In this piece of flash fiction set hundreds of years ago a reeve meets with the court jester.  Little does he know the jester has been possessed by a timeless evil known as The Shadow Demon.


            When I set out to write this piece, I had envisioned the reeve and the fool arguing over how the jester should be housed in a medieval castle.  For some reason, my fingers began to type opposite of my thoughts, and the fool became darker, the reeve more desperate, and The Shadow Demon was born.  Even though the piece is little more than 400 words long, there are some indications as to The Shadow Demon’s extraordinary abilities.  Expect more from this evil force in the future.
